Shelly worked in the corporate world up until the 2003 SARS outbreak in Hong Kong, which made her reflect on following her passions and what she wanted to do in life. So she quit her job, and started baking from her own kitchen, honing all the sweet delights we now enjoy. Since 2005, Shelly has been serving her lovely desserts in the same location. It has a warm atmosphere that is reminiscent of a cosy English tea-room. She uses quality ingredients like imported French butter and Australian creme in her homemade cakes. Baker’s recommendation is their signature cake, Tofu Cheesecake - a delicate cheesecake that combines lovely, silken tofu with a perfect crumbly and buttery crust. The Very Chocolate Cake is also a must-try. Shelly also serves hand-crafted, dairy AND vegan gelatos - the chocolate flavour is the vegan best seller, while the Houjicha is the dairy best seller. Gelato flavours will change depending on the season. She also makes delicate cookies in eight delectable flavours, presented in beautiful tins, perfect for a souvenir of Lamma, or as a gift for someone special. Shelly serves a wide range of delicious hot or cold drinks that are a perfect pair for her cakes, americano, mocha, espresso and a unique Rose Latte - rich coffee with subtle floral notes. She also serves a variety of English teas, including the crowd favourite, Earl Grey. Organic herbal teas are also available.
