The Blue Goose Tavern is a traditional British Pub serving Pub Grub classics like homemade pies, fish & chips, and the all-day full English breakfast. Owners and cool husband & wife team, Colin and Jessie, have created a menu that is filling and delicious. Customer favourites include their massive burgers, hotdogs, nachos (they’re really proud of these!) and snack platters (3 choices: Ocean platter, Ham & Cheese platter and The Huge platter), all great for parties or a night-in with Netflix. The Filipino food is a must-try, special mention to the Chicken Adobo (either as a pizza or with rice!), pancit noodles and deep fried wonder that is Crispy Pata (deep fried pork knuckle). They also boast a wide selection beers from British brewers like Timothy Taylor, Badger Beer, Greene King/Morland, Shepherd Neame and many others. And with 7 beers on tap, including 2 craft beers, Gweilo Beer, and Lamma’s very own from the Yardley Brothers, Lamma IPA, The Blue Goose Tavern will surely satisfy your thirst for beer. They also have a huge selection of whiskeys, gins, and many other liquors and apéritifs. Enjoy your meal and drinks by the sea, out on their beautiful tropical patio. You and your mates can also hang out at their sports room upstairs and play a game of pool or darts. Whether you are a part of the community, or visting Lamma, come and join us here at The Blue Goose Tavern! Short and sweet history of The Blue Goose Tavern The Blue Goose Tavern started in the heart of Hong Kong’s night scene, Wanchai. Colin went from managing the bar, to finally owning it in 2012, where he was able to finally apply his vision and make it into the warm and welcoming pub it is today. The decor is a collection of eclectic items Colin and his wife, Jessie, got from their travels, from various car boot sales around The UK, to gifts from friends around the world, from his collection of classic British ale bottles (you can see them as you enter their pub!) to hundreds of shot glasses gifted by patrons. They moved to their present location on Lamma in 2015 and has since been a fixture of the local community. They have hosted a number of different events including charity drives, quiz nights, live music, birthdays, weddings, knitting nights, and even a memorable evening of everyone in the pub talking like chimpanzees for fun. If you’re around during Christmas, you might even see Colin disguised as a giant turkey!
